SARA KOSTER-MARCON

Having worked as a Couple and Family Psychotherapist for 15 years, I feel very grateful every day for being part of people's stories, share a celebration of the positive changes clients I have the honour to meet with, achieve therapeutically.
I have had the pleasure of working across different areas of London in children and adult NHS services, supporting the recovery of individuals and families affected by severe mental health difficulties and collaborating with schools, local authorities and health care agencies in delivering mental health training and compassionate practices to colleagues and teachers.

I currently offer online and face to face sessions in a therapeutic clinic and "Walk and Talk".

Through my online practice, I enjoy the opportunity to meet with clients from different parts of the world, and allowing couples, parents and individuals to find a space for therapeutic sessions amongst busy work schedules and wider context pressures, bridging the barrier of spatial distance and time limits.

Although the online sessions takes place through talking, I encourage the parallel practice of engaging with the wisdom of mindful activities within the body, mind and soul, that fits for each client, as the therapeutic space becomes an opportunity to understand the current tapestry of relationships, emotions, thoughts and behaviours towards the chosen state of being present, belonging with meaning and navigating life and relationships feeling grateful and grounded.

Through my "Walk and Talk" sessions, I offer clients who live locally, or clients that come to visit the New Forest area for a weekend/ week as a couple or individual retreat, the opportunity of exploring their struggles and perceived impasse in their stage of life or relationships, by tapping into the experience of processing the self within the natural happening of the context around them, where the reflecting, emotional understanding, connecting and pausing becomes enhanced by nature as a vehicle to clarity and embodiment to emotional and physiological regulation.

A significant element for therapy to be successful is building a comfortable and trusting therapeutic relationship. Each person I meet in my work continuously enriches me in my therapeutic stance, wanting to provide a safe space for people to feel held, make sense of their experiences and grow in understanding, acceptance and love, towards more fulfilling lives and satisfying relationships.

I specialise in working with couples and I offer therapy both in English and Italian.
